CDT - Day 143 - Broken Stove

For the last couple of days, I've noticed my Jetboil acting up. It started taking much longer to boil water, and the fuel flow sounded really low. This morning, I tried heating some water for coffee and the stove completely failed. No flow at all.

There's frost on my shoes, and I'm drinking cold coffee this morning.

This is the second Jetboil to fail on me during this trip. Pudding offered to share his stove with me until I can get a replacement sent out. I've had so many things either break or disappear on this hike. At least the weather has finally been cooperating.

The hiking today was exceptionally easy: 24.65 miles with a gradual 3,993 feet of elevation gain. It's funny that nearly 25 miles and 4,000 feet of climbing now qualifies as an "easy" day.

Water scarcity was a little concerning for part of the day, but by the end it was no longer an issue. The mountain views are also becoming more spectacular as we make our way farther north through Montana.

Canada keeps getting closer.
