CDT - Day 15 - Gila River to Snow Lake

The goal for today was to push as hard as possible and make it to Snow Lake. The smoke from the wildfire got worse and the air became very smokey. Early in the day I met up with Randy and Jenny (Upright), and we ended up hiking together the entire. It was a really fun day of hiking, we made it to Snow Lake after hiking 21 miles together. The three of us cooked our meals near the outhouse because it was the only structure blocking the crazy wind, we had a laugh about that.

Snow Lake wasn't much to look at it but it had toilets and running drinkable water. An RV pulled up and offered us free wifi via his Starlink. A bunch of other CDT hikers that we knew from previous days made it here shortly after we arrived, it was nice seeing them and catching up. I relayed more information about the fire to them and they were greatful. We all set up our tents together, exchanged stories and then went to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a long day.
