CDT - Day 153 - Reynolds Campground
Day two of five in Glacier National Park is a wrap. In just three more days, this adventure will be over, and I'll have to return to some semblance of a normal life. That's becoming a very strange thing to think about.
Last night was bitterly cold at Atlantic Creek Campground, and this morning my tent was covered in frost, both inside and out. The silver lining is that frozen condensation doesn't soak everything inside my tent. I'll likely be very cold again tonight, but I've been sleeping surprisingly comfortably with my 10°F quilt, silk liner, and most of my clothes on.
Today's hiking was much easier than yesterday: only 23.93 miles with 3,816 feet of elevation gain. We also took a nice two-mile shortcut along the way. The only major pass we climbed was Triple Divide Pass, and it was spectacular.
Today was a good reminder of why Glacier is my favorite national park. The mountains, valleys, and views here are simply unbelievable. Tonight, we're camping at Reynolds Creek Campground, finishing night two of four in Glacier.
Three more days.
Then Canada.
