CDT - Day 29 - Thorns and Sand
Today was mostly uneventful, I walked about 20 miles through forest and open meadows. I didn't see a single person all day. The hike down to the spring was a nice side quest, and the water was cold and delicious.
After 20 miles I finally departed from the forest and hiked down 800 feet back into the desert. After a few miles I found another spring, filled up with water, them walked about another mile before setting camp in the desert. The spot I found wasn't ideal, there were a lot of thorns on the ground, and I tried clearing it as best as I could. For only the second time so far on the CDT I used my ground sheet under the tent.
