Dixie Mountain Loop Trail and Summit - 4/3/2026
On Friday I decided to do one more loop around Dixie Mountain before leaving Phoenix for my big adventure. This hike wasn't particularly challenging, and I've done it a number of times in the past. Usually I would do this hike from my house which meant starting at Sunset Trail, but this time I started at Eagles Nest which has a nice steep incline to get up to the main loop. I did a little bit of trail running for a few sections to see how my knee felt, and it handled it well. I couldn't fine the logbook on the summit, but I find a $20 bill which was a nice surprise.
