Dixie Mountain Loop Trail and Summit 4/4/2026
On Friday I decided to do one more loop around Dixie Mountain before leaving Phoenix for my big adventure. This hike wasn't particularly challenging, and I've done it a number of times in the past. Usually I would do this hike from my house which meant starting at Sunset Trail, but this time I started at Eagles Nest which was much more steep. I even did a little bit of trail running to see how my knee felt, and it handled it well. Someone dropped a $20 bill on the summit which was a nice surprise.
