Spruce Mountain via Trail 307 - 12/28/2025
On Sunday I drove up to Prescott to hike up one of my favorite mountains. Spruce Mountain via Trail 307 is fun moderate hike. When I arrived at the trailhead the temperature was in the 40's, and after a few minutes of hiking I put my jacket, and gloves on. When I reached the fire tower I had a quick lunch, and admired the view for a while. From the summit I could see Humphreys Peak off in the distance, covered in snow, and calling to me. I was a little worried about my knee for the downhill, but I had no issues at all. I did a few IT band stretches, and the hike down was mostly painless. I'll be back to hike this trail many times.
