White Tanks - 10/26/2025
Mesquite Canyon, Ford Canyon, and Willow Canyon Loop
I had originally planned to hike Humphreys Peak on Sunday, but my plans fell apart due to being woken up by work at 1am. My friend Kimberly had her plans fall apart too, so we decided to go for a local hike instead. Kimberly invited me to go with her to the White Tanks, which is an area I had never hiked before. We got a bit of a late start, but the weather was perfect. It has been unseasonable cool for October in the desert. I swapped out my winter pack for my hot desert pack, and met her at the trailhead around 9:45am. The hike was about 8.6 miles with 1500 feet of elevation gain. We knocked it out pretty quick, and then had a refreshing smoothie bowl at Nektar Juice.
